Notifications

Control which email notifications you receive

Notifications

Seleckt sends email notifications to keep you informed when important things happen -- a client pays an invoice, signs a contract, or completes a selection. The notification settings page lets you control exactly which emails you receive so your inbox stays useful, not overwhelming.

Accessing Notification Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. You see a list of notification categories with toggle switches.

Each per-event toggle has two states:

  • On -- you receive email notifications for that event
  • Off -- you do not receive email notifications for that event

Changes are not saved automatically. When you adjust any toggle, a floating save bar appears -- click Save to apply your changes (or discard them to revert).

Master Toggles

At the top of the page there are two independent master toggles:

  • Email Notifications -- enables or disables all email notifications at once. Turning it off silences every email, regardless of the individual per-event settings below.
  • In-App Notifications -- enables or disables the real-time notifications shown in the bell icon and notification center.

These two toggles are independent of each other: you can keep in-app notifications on while turning email off, or vice versa.

Tip: Going on holiday? Flip the Email Notifications master toggle off so your inbox stays clear while you are away. Turn it back on when you return and your individual preferences will still be there.

Per-Event Controls

Below the master toggles, notifications are grouped by category. The per-event toggles control email only -- they have no effect on in-app delivery. When Email Notifications is turned off, the per-event toggles are disabled.

Here is what you can control:

Choosing What to Keep On

There is no one-size-fits-all configuration. Here are some suggestions based on how you work:

If you want to stay on top of everything

Leave all notifications on. This is the default and works well if you want to know about every client interaction as it happens.

If you only care about money and signatures

Turn on:

  • Payment received confirmation
  • Invoice overdue alert
  • Contract signed notification

Turn off everything else. You will only hear from Seleckt when a payment comes in, an invoice is late, or a contract gets signed.

If you check the dashboard regularly

Turn off most notifications and use the Activity Log to review events in bulk. Keep only the most critical notifications on (payment received confirmation, contract signed notification).

Tip: Start with everything on, and then turn off the ones that feel noisy after a week or two. It is easier to pare down than to guess upfront what you will need.

Where Notifications Are Sent

All notifications go to the email address on your Account Settings. If you need to change where notifications are delivered, update your email address there.

In-App Notifications

In addition to email, Seleckt delivers real-time in-app notifications via the bell icon in the navigation bar. In-app notifications appear instantly when an event occurs (such as a payment, signed contract, or completed selection) using a live connection to the server.

  • A badge on the bell shows your unread notification count.
  • Click the bell to open the notification panel and see recent events.
  • Click Mark All as Read to clear the badge.
  • Each notification links directly to the relevant resource (invoice, contract, gallery, etc.).

In-app delivery is governed independently. The per-event toggles above control email only -- they do not affect in-app notifications. Whether you receive in-app notifications is determined by the In-App Notifications master toggle (plus the event's category), not by the per-event toggles. So even with a per-event email toggle off, you may still see that event in the bell as long as in-app notifications are enabled.

Tip: In-app notifications are especially useful during busy seasons. Keep your email notifications minimal and rely on the notification bell for real-time awareness.

In-App vs. Email

Even if you turn off all notifications, activity within Seleckt is always logged in the Activity Log. So you can still review events there at any time.

Quick Reference

Action Where to Find It
Open notification settings Settings > Notifications
Turn all email notifications on/off Email Notifications master toggle at the top
Turn all in-app notifications on/off In-App Notifications master toggle at the top
Toggle individual email events Flip the switch next to each event, then Save
Change notification email Settings > Account > Email

Tip: If you are not receiving expected notifications, check two things: first, make sure the notification is toggled on in these settings. Second, check your email spam folder -- add Seleckt to your contacts to prevent emails from landing there.
