Dashboard
Your dashboard is the first thing you see when you log into Seleckt. It gives you a bird's-eye view of your business — how many galleries are live, which invoices are coming due, where your revenue stands, and what needs your attention right now. Think of it as your personal command centre.
Stats row
Across the top of the dashboard you will find four summary cards that update in real time:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Active galleries | The number of galleries currently published and visible to clients. |
| Upcoming sessions | Bookings still to come, with the next one's date and time. |
| Revenue · MTD | Your collected revenue so far this month. |
| Unpaid invoices | Invoices still awaiting payment, with any overdue ones flagged. |
Each card is clickable — tap one to jump straight to the relevant section. If a number looks higher than expected, that is your cue to investigate.
Tip: Keep an eye on the "Unpaid invoices" card daily. A quick glance tells you whether anything needs a follow-up.
Gallery analytics chart
Below the stats row you will find a visual chart of gallery activity over the last seven days. The chart tracks two series, one bar per day:
- Views — gallery page views.
- Actions — other interactions, such as selections, favourites, and downloads.
The chart always shows the most recent seven days — there is no time-range switcher. If you just shared a wedding gallery and want to see how quickly the couple is browsing, check back here after a day or two.
Upcoming invoices
This widget lists invoices that are approaching their due date, sorted soonest-first. Each row shows:
- Client name
- Invoice number
- Amount due
- Due date
Overdue invoices are highlighted so they stand out. Click any row to open the full invoice detail, or head to Invoices for the complete list.
Tip: If you see an invoice turning overdue, you can send a payment reminder directly from the invoice page — no need to chase clients by email manually.
Quick actions
The Quick Actions card gives you shortcut buttons for the things you do most often:
- Create client — add someone to your address book.
- Create quote — opens the quote builder with your product catalogue ready to go.
- Create booking — schedule a session on your calendar.
- Create invoice — jumps to a blank invoice ready for line items.
These buttons save you from navigating through menus. When a client calls and asks for a quote on the spot, you are two clicks away from building one. To start a new gallery, head to Galleries and click New gallery — a guided setup takes it from there.
Quotes pipeline
The quotes pipeline gives you a visual breakdown of where your quotes stand:
- Draft — quotes you have started but not sent.
- Sent — quotes delivered to clients, awaiting a response.
- Viewed — the client has opened the quote (a good sign).
- Accepted — the client agreed. Ready to convert to an invoice, or to bill item by item.
- Declined — the client passed. You can review their comments and follow up.
- Expired — quotes that went past their validity date without a response.
Each status shows a count so you can see your conversion funnel at a glance. For full quote management, visit the Quotes page.
Recent activity feed
The activity feed is a chronological log of everything happening in your account:
- A client viewed a gallery
- An invoice was paid
- A contract was signed
- A quote was accepted or declined
- Photos were uploaded or processed
The feed updates automatically. It is especially useful after you have sent several galleries or invoices at once — you can watch the responses roll in without switching between pages.
Gallery lifecycle progress
This widget shows where each of your active galleries sits in its lifecycle:
- Created — gallery exists but has no photos yet.
- Uploading — photos are being uploaded and processed.
- Ready — processing is complete; the gallery is ready to publish.
- Published — live and visible to clients.
- Selections complete — the client has finished choosing their favourites.
- Delivered — final files have been delivered.
- Archived — the gallery has been retired.
Each gallery appears as a row with a progress indicator. This is particularly helpful during busy season when you are juggling multiple shoots and need to know which galleries still need attention.
Revenue tracker
The revenue tracker shows your earnings over a selected time period. You will see:
- Total revenue for the period.
- Paid invoices count.
- A chart showing revenue trends over time.
This widget helps you understand your cash flow without opening a spreadsheet. If you want a deeper dive into individual payments, head to the Payments page.
Notification bell
In the top navigation bar, a bell icon shows your real-time in-app notifications. A badge displays your unread count.
- Click the bell to open the notification panel.
- Notifications include events like payments received, contracts signed, selections submitted, and quotes accepted.
- Each notification links directly to the relevant resource.
- Click Mark All as Read to clear the badge.
Notifications are delivered instantly via a live connection to the server, so you see updates without refreshing the page. Configure which events trigger notifications in Notification Settings.
Storage indicator
In the sidebar, a storage progress bar shows how much of your storage quota you have used. It gives you an at-a-glance view of your remaining capacity.
- The bar changes colour as you approach your limit (yellow at 80%, red at 95%).
- Click on it to go to your billing settings for a detailed breakdown.
For full details on storage quotas and overage billing, see Storage & Limits.
Customising your dashboard
Every photographer works differently. Seleckt lets you reorder the stats cards to put the numbers you care about most first.
Edit mode
- Click the Customize button in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard (available on desktop).
- The dashboard enters edit mode, showing an "Edit mode" banner with Reset and Done controls.
- Drag the stats cards into your preferred order. You can also dismiss a stat to hide it, then add it back from the suggestion tiles that appear in edit mode.
- Click Done to save your layout, or Reset to return to the default arrangement.
Only the stats row is reorderable — the main card row (Upcoming sessions and Quick Actions) is a locked layout. Your saved layout is remembered next time you log in.
Tip: If revenue tracking is your priority, drag the "Revenue · MTD" card to the front. Make the stats row work for the way you run your business.
