Activity Log

Track every action and event across your account

Activity Log

The activity log is a complete record of everything that happens in your Seleckt account. Every gallery upload, invoice sent, contract signed, and client added is logged here with a timestamp and the name of who did it.

Accessing the Activity Log

  1. On your dashboard, find the Recent activity panel and click View all. This opens the Activity page at /activities.
  2. You see a chronological timeline of events, with the most recent at the top.

The log updates automatically as new actions occur, so it always reflects the current state of your account.

What Gets Logged

The activity log tracks events across all of your core features:

Resource Type Example Events
Gallery Created, published, shared, archived, expired, deleted
Photo Uploaded, processed, reprocessed, replaced, deleted
Invoice Created, billed from quote items, sent, viewed, paid, overdue, voided
Quote Created, sent, viewed, accepted, declined, expired, converted, not converted automatically, items invoiced separately
Contract Created, sent, viewed, signed, declined, expired
Booking Created, confirmed, completed, cancelled, invoice generated or linked, created from a quote
Job Created, updated, merged, deleted; records added to or removed from the job
Payment Recorded, voided
Template Created, updated, deleted
Selection Submitted, updated, approved, rejected
Client Added, invited, accepted invite, updated, imported, deleted
Account Email changed, password set, Stripe connected

Each log entry includes:

  • What happened -- a plain-language description of the action
  • Who did it -- the name of the person (you or a client)
  • When -- the date and time
  • What it relates to -- a link to the relevant resource (gallery, invoice, etc.)

Searching the Activity Log

Use the search bar at the top of the activity log to find specific entries. You can search by:

  • Actor name -- the person who performed the action (for example, your name or a client's name)
  • Resource name -- the name of the gallery, invoice, contract, or other item involved

Tip: If you are trying to find out when a specific client signed their contract, search for the client's name and look for the "signed" event.

Filtering

The activity log offers several filters to help you narrow down what you are looking at:

By Date Range

  1. Click the date filter.
  2. Choose a start and end date.
  3. The log shows only events within that period.

This is useful for reviewing what happened during a specific week, month, or project window.

By Client

  1. Click the client filter.
  2. Select a client from the dropdown.
  3. The log shows only events related to that client.

Tip: Use the client filter to prepare for a client meeting. You can quickly review every interaction and deliverable at a glance.

By Resource Type

  1. Click the resource type filter.
  2. Choose a type: Gallery, Photo, Invoice, Contract, Template, Selection, or Client.
  3. The log shows only events matching that type.

You can combine filters. For example, you could filter by a specific client and the "Invoice" resource type to see only invoice-related activity for that client.

Timeline Visualisation

Events in the activity log are displayed as a timeline, making it easy to follow the sequence of actions. Each entry is connected visually so you can scan through the flow of events without losing context.

Infinite Scroll

The activity log uses lazy loading with infinite scroll. As you scroll down, older entries load automatically. There is no need to click through pages -- just keep scrolling to go further back in time.

Tip: If you need to review a large stretch of history, use the date range filter to jump to the right time period rather than scrolling through months of entries.

Activity on Individual Records

In addition to the global activity log, many individual records have their own activity timeline:

These per-record timelines pull from the same data as the global log but are filtered to show only what is relevant to that specific item.
