Branding & Watermark

Customise your brand appearance and watermark settings

Branding & Watermark

Your branding and watermark settings control how your galleries and documents look to clients. A consistent brand builds trust and makes your work look polished. These live in two separate tabs under Settings > Appearance: a Branding tab and a Watermark tab.

Branding

The Branding tab controls three things: your brand colour, your company logo, and your booking page cover image.

Brand Colour

Your brand colour is used as an accent across your public galleries and the client portal -- buttons, links, highlights, and other interactive elements pick up this colour.

  1. Go to Settings > Branding.
  2. Click the Brand Color swatch.
  3. Choose a colour using the colour picker, or enter a hex code directly (for example, #D4AF37).
  4. Click Save.

Tip: Pick a colour that matches your logo or website. If in doubt, a neutral dark tone works well and keeps the focus on your photos.

Your company logo appears on your invoices, quotes, and client emails.

  1. In the Company logo section, click to upload an image.
  2. Choose a PNG or JPEG file -- a transparent PNG works best.
  3. Use an image that is at least 200px on its longest edge so it stays crisp.

Note: The company logo accepts PNG or JPEG only. This is separate from the Watermark logo, which also accepts WebP.

Booking Page Cover

The booking page cover is shown full-bleed at the top of your public booking page.

  1. In the Booking page cover section, click to upload an image.
  2. Choose a strong, representative photo of your work.
  3. Use landscape framing with a 16:9 aspect ratio for the best fit.

Watermark

The Watermark tab sets the default watermark applied to your new uploads. Watermarks protect your undelivered photos from unauthorised use. The watermark is off by default -- enable it and configure your settings, and it is applied to photos as they are uploaded and processed using your own settings.

Watermark Type

You can choose between two watermark types:

Type How It Works
Text Your business name or custom text is overlaid on each photo.
Logo An uploaded image is overlaid on each photo.

To set the type:

  1. Go to Settings > Watermark.
  2. Enable the watermark, then select Text or Logo.
  3. If you chose Text, enter the text you want displayed.
  4. If you chose Logo, upload an image file (PNG, JPEG, or WebP).

Tip: Logo watermarks generally look more professional. If you go the text route, keep it short -- your business name or website URL is usually enough.

Position

Control where the watermark appears on your photos:

Position Placement
Centre Middle of the image -- hardest to crop out
Diagonal Repeated across the image at an angle -- maximum coverage
Bottom-right Lower-right corner -- subtle and unobtrusive

Choose a position based on how much protection you need. For proofing galleries where clients have not paid yet, centre or diagonal gives the strongest protection. For galleries where you just want a light brand presence, bottom-right is a good choice.

Opacity

Opacity controls how transparent the watermark is. You can set it anywhere from 20% to 60%:

Opacity Effect
20% Very subtle, barely visible. Good for delivered or low-risk galleries.
40% Balanced visibility. The watermark is noticeable but does not distract from the photo.
60% Strong and prominent. Best for proofing galleries where protection is important.

Size

The size control adjusts how large the watermark appears relative to the photo, from 25% (small) to 150% (large). A higher value makes the watermark bigger; a lower value makes it smaller.

Experiment with a test photo to find the right balance. You want the watermark large enough to be effective but not so large that it overwhelms the image.

If you chose the Logo watermark type:

  1. Click Upload in the watermark logo section.
  2. Choose an image file. Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP (max 5 MB). SVG is not supported.
  3. Click Save.

For best results:

  • Use a white logo on a transparent background (PNG). This works well on both light and dark photos.
  • Keep the file size reasonable -- the logo is applied to every photo during processing.

The settings on the Watermark tab apply as your default watermark for all new galleries. However, you can override the watermark on a per-gallery basis in the gallery settings.

This is useful when you want:

  • Different watermark styles for proofing vs. delivery galleries
  • No watermark on certain galleries (for example, after the client has paid)
  • A custom watermark for a specific event or brand collaboration

To override, open a gallery, go to its Settings tab, and adjust the watermark options there.
